In a prior post I made the statement that cost accounting was EVIL. This recent article about Dr. Edward Tufte’s (Professor Emeritus of Political Science, Statistics and Computer Science at Yale University) appointment to a post in the Obama administration reminded me of how decades ago I came about critically analyzing the appropriate usage of mathematics and graphs.
